Dipl.-Kfm. Georg Johannes Pauelsen
I was born in the Rhineland region of Germany and spent my early years there with my parents and two siblings—an older brother and a younger sister. My father worked as a banker, while my mother was a housewife and a catechist. My educational journey began at a convent school, where I studied for eight years before completing my Abitur at a state grammar school.
Following my basic military service in the army, I pursued higher education. My academic path led me to the University of Cologne, where I graduated from the Faculty of Economics with a degree in business administration, equivalent to an MBA. During my studies, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship in Geneva and was supported by several mentors to whom I remain grateful. However, I have struggled with mental illness, similar to Catherine Zeta-Jones, for over 30 years. Despite this, I manage my condition well and receive excellent care.
After completing my degree, I embarked on my professional journey at an auditing and tax consultancy firm. Shortly after, I co-founded a company with my father, which I managed until the early 2000s. Alongside this, I pursued additional qualifications and certifications in Microsoft and SAP. Following a brief period in sales and accounting at a medium-sized company, I founded BE@SOURCE in London in 2005.
At BE@SOURCE, I offer a wealth of experience and qualifications. Our consultancy provides value-added services in business and IT, encompassing taxation, auditing, accounting, production, and sales.
This comprehensive approach draws on my economics education, the guidance of my mentors, and the financial acumen I inherited from my father. We also provide keynote speaking and private consulting services. With a database of specialists in ERP consulting, tax consultancy, auditing, management consultancy, and law, we can call on up to 75,000 professionals. My experience as a managing director of a global management consultancy has been invaluable in this endeavor.
Our target clientele includes individual companies, the public sector, and individuals who need expert assistance in an increasingly globalized competitive environment. Additionally, I am involved with Aktionärsforum Service GmbH, where we aim to educate the public on capital market rights through online and hybrid events.
